Many of the people we help are older adults, and many are caring for someone with a disability. We want this website to be easy for everyone to read and use.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the widely used standard for accessible websites.
What we’ve done
- Larger text by default, with high contrast between text and background
- Pages that work with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline
- Pages that work with screen readers, with descriptions for meaningful images
- Captions on Cheryl’s introduction video, which you can turn on or off
- Reduced animation for people who turn on “reduce motion” in their device settings
- Pages that zoom and resize without losing content, on phones and computers
- A phone number on every page for anyone who would rather talk
