Who I help
For families who need a nurse on their side
Most people call me at a hard moment: a parent in the ER, a discharge that feels too soon, a diagnosis nobody has explained. Here’s who I help most.

Caring for a parent from a distance
You can’t be at every appointment from another state. You still need to know what’s really going on.
- I oversee their care and go with them to medical appointments
- I help them prepare questions and concerns before each visit
- Monthly visits to make sure they’re safe, managing medications and living in a safe home
- Visits to skilled nursing or assisted living, including their care plan meetings
“Cheryl stepped in and gave me total peace of mind. She took the time to truly understand my mom, her needs, and my concerns. She checked in daily with caregivers, offered guidance, and was fully prepared to advocate for my mom if a hospital visit became necessary.”

Solo aging
Whether by choice or circumstance, many people don’t have family nearby. You deserve someone in your corner anyway.
- Support for people without a support system nearby
- Finding the right level of care: rehab, skilled nursing or assisted living
- Home care, home health and hospice referrals, with ongoing oversight
- Researching facilities, with recommendations and choices
“Dear Cheryl, Thank you for all of your support, guidance and professionalism through the past 6-7 weeks. You were a great help through the medical obstacles we faced. Please use us for a reference anytime. Our Best”

Facing a new diagnosis
New words, new doctors, new decisions, all at once. You need to understand it before you can decide anything.
- Making sense of a new diagnosis and the treatment plan
- Coping with a chronic condition, and catching changes early
- Getting your medical records, test, lab and pathology results
- Being heard when you feel your doctor isn’t listening
- Explaining the diagnosis and plan to your family
“Cheryl is a world class service provider/patient protector. Since 2016 she has repeatedly demonstrated her vast experience to me. She has helped me with Duke and UNC doctors located in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill to determine the best treatment paths and meds for my various health issues.”
